Laura, Lady Borden (née Bond) (1862 – September 7, 1940) was the wife of Sir Robert Laird Borden, the eighth Prime Minister of Canada.
She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to a local hardware merchant and married Borden on September 25, 1889.
In recognition of her affability and graciousness, the Progressive Conservative Party presented her with an automobile in recognition for contributing to the Canadian identity.[1]
Childless she died in Ottawa in 1940 and buried next to her husband at Beechwood Cemetery.
